What exactly is Reiki?
Reiki is a non-invasive, no-contact, energetic healing technique.
It was developed by Mikao Usui in the early 1900s. Usui opened the first Reiki school in Tokyo, Japan, in 1922.
During a Reiki session, your practitioner will serve as an energetic channel, helping to focus and guide the energy.
What does Reiki feel like?
A Reiki session is different for everyone.
Some clients report a pleasant, soothing warmth radiating from the treatment area. Many report a feeling of deep relaxation. There are even some clients who “don’t really feel anything”, yet keep coming back because they notice the energetic benefits of their sessions.
How should I prepare for my Reiki session?
One of the most important things to do before a session is to make sure you are well-hydrated!
Wearing comfortable clothing is a great idea (when our practitioner, Peyton, has sessions, she can be found in sweatpants and a loose t-shirt).
You are also welcome to bring your headphones…music is an excellent supplement to a Reiki session!
What's the difference between Reiki and Crystal Reiki?
Crystal Reiki combines a Reiki session with the energies and frequencies of crystals.
Minerals, crystals, rocks, and gemstones each have a unique frequency. During a Crystal Reiki session, your practitioner will choose crystals based on your session goals and your own energy, then use those crystals to help them channel the Reiki energy.
Are Reiki and Crystal Reiki medically safe?
Yes, both Reiki and Crystal Reiki are safe techniques.
However, as with any holistic service, we recommend that you consult with your physician.
Neither Reiki nor Crystal Reiki are substitutes for medical care.
While many clients notice improvements in their physical well-being after a session, we at Azure Swan want to remind you that none of our practitioners can diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
